Round 2 of our festive works arrive in Animal Crossing

Growing up, I loved seeing robins. I suppose it was my signal for the start of the Christmas period, like seeing snow in December or the Coca Cola truck advert. Except I realised there was one problem with this…Robins can be seen all year round.
So why do we associate them with Christmas?
Perhaps it is the vibrant red colouration from a robin’s breast that brightens our cold, dreary days in Winter, or the lull of its chirps into a rhythmically pleasing song.
The two most common reasons appear to be from a biblical origin relating to the robin fanning flames and developing this red emblem, to an association with Victorian postmen wearing red uniforms, and nicknamed robins (Source: RSPB – why-are-robins-associated-with-Christmas).
However these colourful birds began their association with Christmas, I’m just glad to see them every winter to brighten up the day.
