Inspired by traditional festive wreaths, Tahmina has created a delicious, edible wreath of her own. Follow her recipe to make your own mouth-watering Florentine wreath!

Ingredients:
50g butter
50g demerara sugar
2 ½ tablespoons golden syrup
50g plain flour
25g dried cranberries finely chopped
25g glace cherries finely chopped
25g flaked almonds
200g plain chocolate (milk or dark)

Method:
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.
Place the butter, sugar and syrup into a small pan and heat gently until the butter is melted. Remove from heat and add the flour, chopped cranberries, glace cherries and almonds. Stir well to mix. At this point in the recipe, you can choose to add whatever dried fruit or nuts you’d like.
Line a baking tray with baking parchment. Wearing food safe gloves, place your mixture on the tray and begin forming a ring. The mixture will spread, so make sure there’s a bit of height to it.
Place into the oven for 8-10 minutes. Once done, leave it to cool on a cooling rack.
Melt 200g of plain chocolate. You can do this on the stove or in the microwave.

Turn your cooled Florentine wreath over. Spread a thin layer of chocolate over the bottom. Using your fork, create zig zag patterns in the chocolate. Allow the chocolate to cool and set.
Turn your Florentine wreath over. At this point, you can dust icing sugar over it. Cut into sections to serve. Enjoy!
