Wishing you a Happy Festive Season and a peaceful New Year, from all of us at the Whitworth.

While every season presents opportunities for creativity, the festive period brings moments of reflection, wonderment, and creative renewal. Our gallery benefits from being in an urban public park. As the trees all around become winter bare, our galleries are alive with exhibitions full of bold colour, deep texture, and joyous activity.

The Whitworth prides on being a welcoming free-to-enter gallery, with the best café views in the city. It provides a space for art, and the coming together of friends, families, and communities.

I wanted to express thanks to our talented staff for delivering some of the most brilliant exhibitions and activities you will find anywhere in the world, right here in Manchester. Regardless of one’s faith or belief, keep each other safe over the Christmas period, as we look forward with positivity to more creative renewal in 2025.
