A festive message to round off the year
Every season is the season of creativity for an art gallery, but the winter festive season offers that special warmth and togetherness. While the trees in Whitworth Park are becoming bare and the days are shorter, our gallery feels vibrant with new exhibitions full of colour and texture, which resonate with the anticipation and excitement that define this special time of the year.
The sense of wonder and joy should be central to this season, and I hope that what we show in the gallery feels like tales of merriment and generosity to everyone. The countdown to Christmas can also be a journey of inspiration, regardless of one’s belief, and I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at the Whitworth for making this journey truly special.
